Skill Requirements
- Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or project administration, including two or more years of high-level project and customer/supplier management.
- Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and product development.
- Familiarity with Aerospace quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for new products, components, and materials.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance with specifications.
- Develop and maintain purchased component budgets for NPI and R&D projects, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Coordinate hand-off to production buyers after launch and stabilization.
- Assumes the lead role in selection and negotiation for unique or customer-sensitive subcontracts.
- Closely monitors subcontractor and/or supplier performance to ensure contractual agreements, terms, and conditions comply.
- Conduct supplier site visits and rate them as to production capability, performance and delivery, capacity, supply chain management and other key business criteria.
- Makes regular business changes assessments.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering and program management teams to understand product specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure that sourced materials meet NPI and R&D and subsequent production needs and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements and work collaborated with internal and external teams to accomplish.
- Project Management:
- Develop and maintain project timelines in conjunction with project managers for NPI and R&D initiatives, ensuring that procurement activities align with key program milestones and product launch schedules.
- Prepare regular reports on NPI, R&D, and outsource procurement activities, supplier performance, and project status for management review, addressing any issues that may impact timelines or budgets.
- Facilitate activities assigned within the supply chain team.

- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five or more years of increasingly responsible experience in procurement or project administration including two or more years of high-level project and customer/supplier management.
- Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) desired.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
