Responsibilities
- Purchase and manage medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Coordinate effective purchasing and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure continuous availability of medications for efficient pharmacy operations.
- Verify product availability, pricing, and expiration dates.
- Process receiving orders from vendors and ensure they are correctly entered into the system.
- Manage inventory, place orders, check drugs and supplies.
- Assist with department training as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and distributors.
- Process purchasing reports and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain and adhere to pharmacy standards.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred.
- Efficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) proficient.
- Familiarity with frameworks preferred.
- Training available for those interested in the role.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively.
- Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
