Job Details We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement and material purchasing for a growing Mechanical and Plumbing contractor. This role will be responsible for sourcing equipment and materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring field and project teams have the materials they need on schedule and within budget. This position can be fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast. The ideal candidate will have significant purchasing experience specifically within the Plumbing, HVAC, or Mechanical contracting industry and understand the equipment, materials, vendors, and supply chain demands associated with Light Commercial and Residential projects. MUST HAVE: 5+ years of Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain experience within Plumbing, HVAC, or Mechanical Contractors Strong knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC and Mechanical equipment, materials, fixtures, piping, fittings, and related components Experience supporting Light Commercial and/or Residential construction projects Proven Vendor and Supplier relationship management experience Strong pricing negotiation and cost-control experience Experience coordinating material procurement around project schedules and field requirements Ability to review purchasing needs, quotes, lead times, and material availability Ability to work independently in a remote environment NICE TO HAVE: Multifamily Construction experience Existing relationships with major Plumbing/HVAC Suppliers and Manufacturers Experience supporting Purchasing across multiple branches, markets, or project locations Experience developing preferred Vendor programs or negotiating volume pricing Experience improving procurement processes, purchasing controls, or inventory management Interested in hearing more?
