Purchasing Manager (m/f/d)

Tackle, think along, take responsibility

• Assist in establishing and shaping the purchasing department for the company's U.S. manufacturing plant
• Sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates contracts, and ensures cost-effective, availability and high-quality procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services
• Collaborates with production, quality assurance, and corporate teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations
• Analyzes and manages inventory levels to optimize working capital and production efficiency
• Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships that align with company values and quality standards
• Maintains market trends, assesses supplier performance, and identifies cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
• Accurately processes purchase orders through the company's ERP system and handles related administrative tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferred
• 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of contract law
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Hands-on mentality with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• This role requires daily onsite presence at the Moorefield, WV location
