As a Purchasing Manager for Life Sciences North America, you will be responsible for purchasing major capital equipment and materials for large and critical Projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of, and is accountable for, the results of a team of Buyers on a Project.
- Conduct and coordinate procurement transactions associated with purchasing capital engineered equipment, as assigned.
- Ensure task completion and serve as an expert within the organization.
- Achieve value-added expectations and perform assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Report directly to the Manager of Procurement Services (MOPS) for the office which they are assigned.
- Indirectly report to the assigned Project Procurement Manager (PPM) or Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, engineering, or operations management; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 10+ years of experience in capital equipment purchasing.
- 4+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $98,900.00 to $165,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Anticipated travel 10-25% of the time.
