About the role
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading enterprise procurement operations within a complex organization. This role oversees purchasing activities, manages strategic supplier relationships, leads contract negotiations, and drives procurement process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day purchasing operations and strategic supplier relationships.
- Oversee supplier onboarding, performance management, compliance, and governance.
- Serve as the business lead for procurement systems, supporting enhancements, upgrades, and user adoption.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Drive procurement transformation initiatives while ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and process consistency.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or purchasing experience.
- Experience with enterprise procurement systems (SAP S/4HANA + Ariba).
- Background supporting procurement process improvements, system implementations, or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong supplier management, contract negotiation, project management, and stakeholder leadership skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, transportation, logistics, or another complex operational environment preferred.
