Purchasing Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations and support efficient material planning for our client in Westlake, Ohio. This role is responsible for building dependable supplier relationships, improving purchasing performance, and ensuring the timely availability of materials needed to meet business demands. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, operational discipline, and a solid understanding of purchasing processes, including support for electrical-related materials and components.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, approval workflows, and material planning.
• Process bills of materials (BOM) and perform material estimation.
• Maintain strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities and follow established processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Source materials, manage suppliers, and oversee end-to-end purchasing procedures.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with vendors.
• Coordinate multiple purchasing activities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Apply knowledge of electrical materials or components to purchasing decisions.
• Use analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to drive results.
• Collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.

Requirements

• Electrical Construction experience.
• Proven experience managing purchasing or procurement operations in a detail-oriented business environment.
