Purchasing Inventory Technician Specialist

Symbria Rx Services in St. Louis, MO is seeking a team-oriented, experienced Inventory Pharmacy Technician who shares our commitment to ensuring the health and wellness of seniors. The Ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, quick study with the ability to wear multiple hats.
Position Summary
The Inventory Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in monitoring and maintaining the pharmacy’s physical inventory, including returns.

Work Schedule
Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Weekends as needed Available for quarterly inventories
Responsibilities
- Process and check in wholesale orders daily.
- Restock shelves with inventory and returns daily throughout pharmacy areas and restock shelves from overstock daily.
- Maintain and process returns of outdated, slow-moving, and/or unused medications with wholesalers for credit.
- Work with wholesalers and pharmacy usage reports to establish par levels.
- Communicate product information, availability, and changes to pharmacy staff.
- Prepare and participate in quarterly physical inventory.
- Make suggestions to pharmacists for alternate products to fill prescriptions.
- Communicate backorder problems to customers and pharmacy staff.
- Prepare and manage returns process according to established policy.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Pharmacy Technician license and/or Certification (CPhT) as per State requirement.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and alternate shifts for PTO/staffing coverages as operational needs dictate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy inventory experience; minimum one year.
- Pharmacy technician experience: long-term care setting.
