Purchasing Coordinator
Summary Of Duties
Aid in procuring necessary materials and equipment for all projects and shop operations in an ethical, value-conscious, timely, and organized manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Aid in placing orders to secure the best pricing, delivery, and value on most orders.
- Meet reasonable timelines to minimize non-productive field product shortages.
- Enter purchase orders accurately into Company management systems.
- Line item identification.
- Timely pricing and interfacing of purchase orders.
- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders to qualify for purchase discounts with vendors.
- Purchase equipment and rough-in materials for projects.
- Request and forward submittals to meet deadlines.
- Contact vendors to follow up and expedite purchase order items.
- Verify and report on price changes on purchase orders.
- Update vendor information files.
- Aiding Accounts Payable with POs to invoice by matching and correcting problems.
Accountability
Comply with all company policies and procedures. Complete job-specific ISO procedure training. Employees are required to complete New Hire Orientation. All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirement of RK Mechanical Orientation.
