Purchasing Buyer

Position : Purchasing Buyer Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 3 months contract Total Hours/week : 40.00 pay rate: $20-25/hr 1st shift Description Responsible for identifying and procuring goods and services that the organization requires to keep the production lines running. Ensure optimal inventory levels. Working with stakeholders and peers (Sourcing, Quality, Material Coordinators, Planning, Transportation, Engineers, Finance) to ensure requests are fulfilled. Maintain supplier relationships and improve supplier performance (service, on-time delivery, quality, reconciliation of invoices, POs and documentation). Skills Required Ability to work with all types of personalities Understanding of the Supply Chain Experience working with and communicating effectively with Suppliers and Stakeholders Have a sense of urgency and take initiative Analytical Excellent communication skills (presentation, interpersonal, written) SAP experience MS Office Nice to have: Metals and Packaging Commodity Experience Ultriva experience SharePoint experience
