Purchasing Assistant

Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant will assist various departments in purchasing needed supplies, verifying when received, and be the primary contact with vendors and support our inventory process.

Job Responsibilities

• Order supplies for individual departments and maintains purchase requirements
• Oversee all outside vendor services
• Research and answer vendor issues when purchase orders have discrepancies
• Ensure all deliveries are properly received and posted in company ERP system
• Work with accounting and plant management on inventory counts done monthly or quarterly
• May backup other departments and locations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent required
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good written and verbal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers

Compensation

• The hourly pay is $25-$30/hr
