Purchasing Agent II

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations for a Contract position based in Mableton, Georgia. This role focuses on coordinating procurement activities, managing purchase order workflows, and helping maintain efficient buying practices across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Responsibilities: • Manage the full purchase order cycle, from request review through issuance, follow-up, and completion. • Coordinate sourcing and purchasing activities to support day-to-day business needs while aligning with company procurement standards. • Work with internal teams to clarify specifications, timelines, and budget considerations before initiating purchases. • Communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing, confirm availability, and support contract negotiation efforts. • Monitor procurement transactions for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized purchasing records. • Help improve buying processes by identifying delays, reducing inefficiencies, and supporting consistent procurement practices. • Ensure purchasing activities comply with internal policies, contractual terms, and established approval requirements. • Experience supporting corporate procurement activities in a detail-focused business environment. • Working knowledge of purchase order management and standard buying procedures. • Ability to coordinate multiple procurement tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. • Familiarity with supplier communication, price evaluation, and contract negotiation support. • Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and transactional detail. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. • Proficiency with common procurement systems and standard business software tools.
