Purchasing Agent (Houston Central)

About the role

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Purchasing Agent for their Purchasing Department. The role involves bidding on new projects, maintaining scopes of work, tracking blueprints and design changes, and other purchasing-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bids
• Pre-qualify subcontractors
• Setup and monitor option costs and sales prices
• Maintain and update current budgets
• Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
• Input original Direct Costs budget
• Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
