Purchasing Agent- Construction Management

About the Role

The primary focus of this position is to lead purchasing and procurement efforts for select projects, helping ensure each buyout is well-planned, competitive, aligned with project goals, and executed with strong attention to scope, budget, schedule, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the purchasing process for select projects, from bid preparation through contract execution
• Build, strengthen, and maintain trusted subcontractor relationships
• Partner with Estimating and Operations to align purchasing strategies with project needs
• Develop and maintain the bid site to support clear communication and efficient bid management
• Draft detailed trade scopes of work that support accurate pricing and reduce project risk
• Request, receive, analyze, and manage bids against project budgets
• Lead descope meetings and support thoughtful decision-making during the buyout process
• Draft GMP-related purchasing documentation and support cost alignment
• Prepare and move trade partners through the contracting process
• Identify and help manage procurement-related risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Support the team by contributing to a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts that make Dimeo stronger, more efficient, and better positioned to serve our clients
