About the role
TRCC is a global leader in advanced chemical solutions, headquartered in Northwest Georgia. We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Review and process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Source new suppliers and evaluate existing supplier performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts with vendors.
- Cook with open orders and follow up on late deliveries or shipment issues.
- Cooordinate with production and planning teams to ensure material availability.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, damaged shipments, and supplier claims.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing files, and supplier documentation.
- Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and pricing fluctuations.
- Work with freight carriers and logistics providers to coordinate deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and purchasing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost savings and supply chain efficiency.
- Follow Safety Protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Requirements
- Pass a fitness for duty test, drug screen, and TB test on a post-offer employment physical.
- High School Diploma, required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field, preferred.
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferred.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with a strong focus on Excel.
- Experience with ERP or SAP systems.
Skills
- Knowledge of market trends and supply chain risks.
- Ability to analyze pricing fluctuations.
- Experience working with freight carriers and logistics providers.

Pay
The pay range will be based on verifiable experience and education level using current market rates as a guideline.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work schedule is on-site. Remote work is not allowed for this position.
