Responsibilities
- Procure materials, equipment, rentals, and services for civil construction projects under the direction of the Purchasing Manager.
- Adhere to defined purchasing policies and procedures while actively contributing to the development and refinement of standardized workflows.
- Issue and track purchase orders.
- Cook up and communicate effectively with Estimating, Project Managers, Superintendents, Accounting and vendors to ensure proper alignment of purchasing activities.

- Coordinate material deliveries, lead times, and quantities.
- Support vendor negotiations to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Aid in job cost tracking and project close-out documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities.
- Aid in purchasing audits and internal reviews as needed.
Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, supply chain, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Working knowledge of utilities, earthwork, and civil construction materials is required.
- Experience with HCSS and Foundation, or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Three or more years of purchasing or procurement experience in civil, heavy, or site construction is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
- The ability to adapt to evolving systems and procedures is required.
- The ability to work well individually or as a member of a team is required.
