Purchasing Agent

About the role

Support construction projects by ensuring materials, equipment, and services are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can troubleshoot issues, adapt quickly, and keep projects moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services to meet project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and subcontractors.
• Track purchase orders and resolve issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and estimators to align purchasing decisions with project needs.
• Ensure materials comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Keep accurate records of orders, invoices, and vendor performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within construction or related industries.
• Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and deliver solutions quickly.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where deadlines matter.

Pay

$35.00 - 40.00 per hour
