About the role
Respected general contractor located in White Plains, NY is seeking 1‑2 Purchasing Agents with construction experience. The firm is extremely busy with numerous live projects and a strong pipeline of upcoming residential developments across New York, including Mount Vernon, the Bronx, Queens, Yonkers and White Plains.
Requirements
- Currently working as a Purchasing Agent within a purchasing department in the construction industry.
- Hands‑on experience and understanding of construction materials.
- Knowledge of procurement principles & practices.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Pay
Salary range: $70,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonus.
