Purchasing Agent

Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of tasks pertaining to the purchasing department and other office support functions.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Procure all types of materials required for company operations
• Place bids and ensure competitive pricing on all materials
• Make arrangements for deliveries to the requestor
• Track and maintain the procurement process of all materials
• Other duties will be assigned as needed within the purchasing department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Basic Viewpoint system knowledge.
• Previous procurement experience.
• Basic knowledge of truck terminology and equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
