KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process purchase orders from request through receipt while ensuring proper approvals and compliance with company policies.
- Cook up with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, order details and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, order confirmations, receipts and invoices within the ERP system.
- Partner with Production and Planning teams to anticipate material requirements and help prevent production delays.
- Resolve discrepancies involving purchase orders, vendor invoices and received materials.
- Generate reports related to purchase order status, supplier performance and inventory levels.
- Obtain pricing and quotes for materials, supplies and services.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier performance and workflow efficiency.
- Manage office supply inventory and coordinate with office supply vendors.
- Report purchasing concerns or supply chain issues to the Procurement Manager in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement Manager.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred OR High school diploma or equivalent with 2 or more years of purchasing, procurement or administrative experience.
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting deadlines.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Strong mathematical, analytical and data entry skills.
- Ability to analyze purchasing and inventory data to support business decisions.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier management and inventory control.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, label or packaging industry experience is a plus.
- Strong follow-up skills with a proactive approach to resolving supply chain challenges.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
