About the Role

Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-6. Instruction using Leader In Me curriculum during rotational blocks. Assist with greeting students at morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Monitor student attendance, send attendance letters, and collaborate with the school social worker on home visits. Oversee students on home schooling.

Minimum Qualifications

The Hawaii State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree for this position. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you must:

• Obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years
• Enroll in a Teacher's Education Program immediately upon hire
• Demonstrate active pursuit of Hawaii licensing requirements each year
• Ensure your program aligns with the teaching line you are hired for

Upon hire, you must possess either a valid Hawaii teaching license or an Emergency Hire Permit. You may apply for your Hawaii teaching license through the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Website.
