Punch Press Setup/Operator

About the role

Responsible for setting up and operating punch presses to manufacture various metal components. Requires strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch presses to cut, form, and stamp metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect workpieces for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Work collaboratively with other manufacturing team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience in manufacturing or similar field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with basic metalworking tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of metalworking processes and materials.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
