Punch Press Setup

Position Summary

Set up all assigned machinery including punch presses. Check work instructions for accurate settings, tooling, and equipment. Perform repairs or adjustments as needed. Lubricate machinery and tools as required. Load materials and parts into machines, ensuring safety protocols are followed and personal protective equipment is worn correctly. Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet customer specifications. Train new operators and assist with training lower-level set up personnel. Address non-conformance issues and communicate problems to supervisors. Complete paperwork accurately and participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of setup work experience, preferably in Minster and Bruderer environments

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of a setup to ensure die and press operation
• Strong knowledge of department machines, equipment, processes, and documentation
• Proficient in blueprint reading and use of measurement equipment
• Understanding of different setup functions and ancillary equipment operations
• Ability to move dies in and out of presses, change coils, and start strips

Hours and Salary

• 1st and 2nd shifts (7AM-3:30PM and 3:30PM-Midnight, Monday through Friday)
• Must be available to work Saturdays and overtime when available
• Starting pay at $24/hr., with a 12% night shift premium
