Punch Press Operator -3rd shift

About the role

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts including counterbalance and 4-directional (Eg. Raymond reach, combi-lift, etc.)
• Fill out documentation on raw material movements and transfers, enter data into our ERP system, prepare skids for shipment, visual inspection.
• Move material from racking to production cell, load/unload trucks.
• Quality Control: Inspecting raw material for accuracy and adherence to specifications. Visual inspection of packaging materials.
• Main tools needed are tape measure and calipers.
• Maintain forklift by performing routine basic maintenance check to keep it in good working order, report issues immediately to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: High school diploma/GED, ability to read/write, ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, perform basic math skills, safety mindset.
• Preferred Requirements: Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry, previous forklift experience, use of hand-held measuring tools, computer literate.
