Pump Stations - Equipment Operator I

Requirements

• Completion of 10th grade in high school; high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of three months of related, full‑time equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record compliant with City Driving Standards.
• Depending on department requirements, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
• May be required to work in confined spaces.
• May be expected to work hours in excess of normally scheduled hours for short‑term department needs and/or City‑wide emergencies.
• Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment to perform maintenance of sanitary sewer systems, construction or related field.
