Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily rig operations, well development, and pump installation.
- Lead, train, and manage pump crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, MSHA/OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company procedures.
- Cookout equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, safety documentation, and logs.
- Communicate progress, issues, and changes to the Pump Superintendent or Drilling Manager.
- Ensure proper site setup, housekeeping, and protection of utilities and surrounding infrastructure.
- Enforce safe work practices, conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), and lead safety meetings.
- Assist with logistics planning, including scheduling and materials.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum [5] years of experience in water well pump operations.
- Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pump rigs and pumping systems.
- Working knowledge of water well construction standards and local/state regulations.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or required depending on operation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work long hours, rotating shifts, and remote job sites as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Capable of climbing rigs, working around heavy equipment, and standing for extended periods.
