Pump Rig Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily rig operations, well development, and pump installation.
• Lead, train, and manage pump crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, MSHA/OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company procedures.
• Cookout equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, safety documentation, and logs.
• Communicate progress, issues, and changes to the Pump Superintendent or Drilling Manager.
• Ensure proper site setup, housekeeping, and protection of utilities and surrounding infrastructure.
• Enforce safe work practices, conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), and lead safety meetings.
• Assist with logistics planning, including scheduling and materials.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum [5] years of experience in water well pump operations.
• Prior supervisory or lead-hand experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pump rigs and pumping systems.
• Working knowledge of water well construction standards and local/state regulations.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or required depending on operation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work long hours, rotating shifts, and remote job sites as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Capable of climbing rigs, working around heavy equipment, and standing for extended periods.
