Pump & Power Technician 2
Job Description Summary
The Pump & Power Technician 2 at Sunbelt Rentals is responsible for performing basic diagnostics and equipment repairs in the safest and most effective way possible, with an emphasis on returning equipment to service to avoid downtime. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing basic diagnostics and repairs on pump and power equipment
- Leveraging current skills in a challenging role
- Working with a team of experienced professionals
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment
- EPA section 608 universal certification required
- Basic understanding of refrigeration, electrical engines and controllers, dehumidification equipment, compressed air treatment, generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater and Shoring, and diesel equipment
- Ability to read electric schematics and hydraulic flow
- Experience with similar equipment
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include: bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Base Pay Range
The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The base pay range for this role is $24.05 - $34.56 per hour.

Paid Time Off
