About the role
A Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (Pulmonary NP) specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the respiratory system. They collaborate with pulmonologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for both acute and chronic lung conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide general care to patients of all ages, with patience, care, compassion, and understanding.
- Conduct tests, record medical histories, provide treatments, assist physicians, and enhance public awareness on the importance of health.
- Prescribe medications within their scope of practice.
Requirements
- MSN with specialization as an ARNP
- Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- BLS upon hire and maintain current
- Previous experience with electronic health record
Qualifications
- One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
