Responsibilities
- Maintain daily operations of assigned areas and serve as a resource for staff.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement Respiratory Therapy policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide orientation and training for newly hired therapists, existing staff, nurses, and Licensed Instrumental Practitioners (LIPs).
- Perform blood gas puncture and analysis (if applicable).
- Educate patients and families about their respiratory treatments and care.
- Assist as a Technical Consultant under the supervision of the Blood Gas Laboratory Director, meeting all necessary qualifications as per CLIA regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Hold current RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Be licensed as an RCP by the Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board.
- Have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner (C/RPFT) credential from the NBRC.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Physical demands include occasional heavy lifting and frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $34.50 to $45.40 per hour, with a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 for external hires only.
Schedule
This position is available on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
