About the Role
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking physicians board certified (or board eligible) in pulmonary & critical care medicine. We also have opportunities for candidates board certified (or board eligible) in pulmonary, critical care & sleep. Piedmont's Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is committed to developing nationally recognized practices focused on the prevention and treatment of diseases through the integration of quality patient care, education, research, and professional development. Program Highlights
- Georgia's first designated Care Center Network awarded by the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
- Advanced Lung Disease program – comprehensive approach to diagnosing, treating and providing specialty care for patients with complex lung conditions, with a multidisciplinary team including pulmonologists and advanced practice providers trained in specialized evaluation and treatment.
- Critical Care – highly trained team of critical care specialists available 24/7 in the hospital, ready to treat patients in the Emergency Department, on general medical surgical units, or in intensive care units with a "right care, right now" approach.
- Interventional Pulmonary program – established in 2017, offering a state-of-the-art bronchoscopy procedure suite and a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures; first in Georgia to offer endobronchial lung volume reduction valves for patients with severe emphysema.
- Sleep Medicine – board-certified sleep physicians assess, diagnose and treat all types of sleep disorders; includes hospital-based sleep labs accredited by the AASM, Home Sleep Testing options, onsite DME educators, and an in-house CPAP distribution center.
Qualifications
- MD or DO Medical Degree
- Must be board certified (or board eligible) in pulmonary & critical care OR board certified (or board eligible) in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- United States Residency and Fellowship trained
