Public Works - Utilities Supervisor

About the role

The Utility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and repairs of the water treatment plant and distribution facilities and systems, as well as the sanitary and storm sewer collection systems in the Public Works Department of Shorewood, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the Utilities Division
• Operations, maintenance, and repairs of water treatment plant and distribution facilities and systems
• Maintenance and repairs of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in utility operations and maintenance
• Knowledge of water treatment and distribution systems
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility operations and maintenance
• Experience with water treatment and distribution systems

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,954.53 to $99,950.98.

Schedule

This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement with Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
