About the role
The Street Operator/Utility Locator performs utility locates in spring, summer, and fall, along with associated paperwork. The role also includes public right-of-way maintenance such as winter snow removal, street maintenance, and sidewalk/boardwalk upkeep. Additional duties may involve backup operations for water and sewer systems as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct utility locates and complete related documentation
- Maintain public right-of-way, including snow removal, street repairs, and sidewalk/boardwalk upkeep
- Operate light or heavy-duty equipment for maintenance and construction activities
- Provide backup support for water and sewer operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one
- Two years of experience in maintenance using light or heavy-duty equipment or construction activities
Opportunities for on-the-job training are available for candidates without experience or required licenses.
