About the role
LLFlex is a world-class manufacturing and converting company providing a single-source solution for laminated flexible substrates. This position will be responsible for strapping and packaging finished materials to prepare for shipping, bailing scrap, and assisting with other roles.
Responsibilities
- Stacks finished goods onto pallets by hand or with cranes, palletizes with cardboard corners and plastic strapping/banding, and stretch wraps completed pallets.
- Moves production material, equipment, and supplies in and around the plant using various material handling equipment.
- Moves waste from hoppers into balers. Secures with wire, empties balers, and ensures proper paperwork is completed.
- Transfers waste from hoppers into dumpsters.
- Supports laminator operators by changing doctor blades, changing rubber/knurl/idler rolls, changing print cylinders, grinding rubber rolls, and mixing adhesive and lacquer coatings to established recipes.
- Cuts cable wrap cores to required size as needed with miter saw or core cutter to support quick changeovers.
- Takes initiative during downtime by helping other team members with their duties.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6 months experience in manufacturing/production
- Ability to take initiative
- Forklift experience
- Ability to use hand tools
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to pass a physical screening
- No theft or larceny in background
- Has a team player mentality
- Willingness to learn and accept responsibility
- Must be able to work overtime
Physical Requirements
- Range of motion and flexibility – ability to turn head/neck to side (frequently), ability to twist upper body to the side while sitting (frequently)
- Manual dexterity/motor skills – Ability to operate fork truck, driving backwards, using mirrors (frequently), ability to operate fork truck equipped with specialized lifting devices
- Standing for prolonged periods (> 75% of shift)
- Working for extended periods (full shift) in temperatures above 90 F, with variable humidity, short periods of time in temperatures exceeding 110 F, when placing loads in trailers
- Lifting up to 55 lbs. occasionally (changing propane cylinders)
