About the role

The Town of Jackson, Public Works Department, Fleet Division is seeking a full-time, fully-benefitted Journey Mechanic or Senior Journey Mechanic. The hiring range is $71,500 - $92,000 DOE.

Responsibilities

• Technical maintenance and repair work on heavy duty diesel-driven street maintenance and excavating equipment and transit fleet, automotive, various light and medium duty vehicles including minor adjustments, transmission work, brakes, and electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Preventative servicing of all types of vehicles and equipment.
• Installation of law enforcement-specific adaptations to patrol vehicles.
• Special tool fabrication for light and heavy-duty vehicle adaptations.
• Complex service issues and major overhauls.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Wyoming Class B CDL with "P" endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• (5 - 8) years experience as a mechanic performing auto/equipment repairs on gas and/or diesel vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must possess own hand tools and locking toolbox.
• Brand new, state-of-the-art fleet maintenance facility with 6+ work bays, hydraulic lifts, gantry crane, tire carousel, and secured parts/inventory management space.
