Public Works Inspector/Lead Construction Inspector

About the role

The Public Works Inspector is the journey-level classification in the Construction Inspection series. Positions in this class perform a broad range of standard public works inspection duties and are expected to work with increasing independence while applying established procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine and moderately complex inspection assignments independently
• Refer the most complex or sensitive issues to higher-level staff

Requirements

Positions at this level may receive technical guidance and direction from higher-level staff and are not responsible for supervising others.
