Public Safety Transporter (Per Diem)

Job Summary

The Public Safety Transporter maintains, safely operates a shuttle vehicle to provide timely transportation for colleagues that park at an off-campus location and need transportation to and from the hospital.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Licensure, Certification, Registration: Valid driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement
• Medical Certification Card as required by the Department of Transportation
• Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience required. Experience operating public service or transportation vehicles or buses preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Ability Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Provides highly professional, customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community specifically colleagues that use the hospital transportation service.
• Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, effectively communicate information.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude in support of the organization’s mission, vision and values.
• Focused on providing an exceptional experience to our patients, customers, staff, organizations, and internal and external partners.
• Ability to analyze and solve a variety of difficult situations, problem events, emergencies.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
