Public Safety Patrolman

About the role

Grove City College is seeking full-time Campus Safety patrolmen to join its growing team. We are looking for service-minded individuals who exemplify integrity, courage, compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with others to ensure a safe and secure campus environment for over 2,300 students, staff, and visitors to the college.
• Safeguard life and property, maintain public order, prevent, detect, and respond to criminal activity, and uphold the College’s standards of conduct.
• Conduct patrol duties by foot, vehicle, and optionally by bicycle.
• Staff the department’s dispatch center as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Eligibility for Act 235 firearms certifications is required and must be completed within six months of employment.
• A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission, vision, and statement of faith of Grove City College is required.
• The successful candidate must be able to complete First Aid/CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed certification within one year.
• The Department of Campus Safety operates 24/7, and this position requires and provides flexibility to work various shifts.
• Prior public safety, law enforcement, or experience working security on a college campus is strongly preferred.
