Responsibilities

• Foster a secure and welcoming environment using strong public relations skills, informed awareness, and a consistently visible presence.
• Identify potential security concerns and implement preventative and protective measures as needed.
• Respond to incidents, request assistance when necessary, and accurately document observations and actions in department reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; must be 21 years of age.
• Must meet Requirements for Operating Vehicles Owned by CoxHealth System Policy, including no serious driving violations during the past five years.

Preferred

• Completion of the Missouri POST Licensure requirements.
• IHAHS Security Officer certification within 90 days of hire.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

• Active Driver's License.
• Complete department specific training to carry firearms upon completion of the academy training for new officers.
• Must obtain IAHSS Security Officer certification within 90 days of hire.
