About the Role

Safeguarding the dignity and justice of all who are entrusted with our care by providing fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy’s coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promoting and practicing fire and safety prevention. Performing all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors
• Promote and practice fire and safety prevention
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid State driver’s license
• Valid local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 30 days of hire)
• Passing score on Functional Job Screening
• Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (may be done as part of licensure)
• Ability to read and write the English language

Preferred Qualifications

• College degree
• Previous Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience
