Public Safety Officer I (Full Time) Evenings

About the role

Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy's coworkers, patients, and visitors. Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid State drivers license
  • Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 30 days of hire)
  • Passing score on Functional Job Screening Certification/Registration: Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure)

Qualifications

  • Education: College degree preferred
  • Licensure: Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required
  • Experience: Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience preferred

Skills

  • Ability to read and write the English language
