Responsibilities
- Patrol the entire campus to provide high visibility and deter wrongdoing.
- Take appropriate action on all incidents and accidents, ensuring all security and safety-related information is reported to the shift Team Leader and documented.
- Conduct preliminary investigations for issues such as theft, malicious acts, employee and visitor injuries, and prepare incident reports.
- Maintain protection and safety of patients, visitors, staff, equipment, and physical facilities.
- Monitor the infant abduction system and respond appropriately to alarms.
- Provide escort services when requested.
- Assist in handling difficult and/or abusive patients and visitors when requested by staff.
- Maintain good working relationships with other hospital staff members.
- Report any issues or problems immediately to find resolutions and provide excellent customer service.
- Attend all departmental meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience.
- Active PERC Card.
- Active Illinois Driver’s License.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
