Responsibilities

• Patrol the entire campus to provide high visibility and deter wrongdoing.
• Take appropriate action on all incidents and accidents, ensuring all security and safety-related information is reported to the shift Team Leader and documented.
• Conduct preliminary investigations for issues such as theft, malicious acts, employee and visitor injuries, and prepare incident reports.
• Maintain protection and safety of patients, visitors, staff, equipment, and physical facilities.
• Monitor the infant abduction system and respond appropriately to alarms.
• Provide escort services when requested.
• Assist in handling difficult and/or abusive patients and visitors when requested by staff.
• Maintain good working relationships with other hospital staff members.
• Report any issues or problems immediately to find resolutions and provide excellent customer service.
• Attend all departmental meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience.
• Active PERC Card.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
