About the role
The Huntsville International Airport Department of Public Safety is recruiting for the position of Public Safety Officer. The Public Safety Officer position requires officers to be trained and certified by the State of Alabama as a Police Officer and Career Firefighter. Additional pay is provided for licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
Responsibilities
- Be trained and certified by the State of Alabama as a Police Officer and Career Firefighter.
- Additional pay is provided for licensed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
- Preferred but not required to have at least one of the two certifications.
- Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain the required certifications within the first year of employment.
- Applicant considered for employment must pass:
- Physical Exam
- Physical Agility Test
- Pychological Exam
Requirements
- Pass an Extensive Background Check
- Pass a Drug Test
Qualifications
It is preferred but not required that applicants have at least one of the two certifications.
