Public Safety Officer

Job Summary

Public Safety Officers serve as front line guardians to the Hartford HealthCare Community by providing customer service and ensuring our environments are safe, secure, and more prepared for all of our patients, visitors, colleagues, clinicians, and physicians.

Provides professional, customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community including patients, visitors, families, colleagues, clinicians, physicians, and the first responder community, among others.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of relevant experience (public safety, corrections, emergency medical services, military) required.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid CT Guard Card required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic First Aid and CPR preferred.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) preferred.
• Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) preferred.
• Multilingual preferred.

Work Schedule

Shift Detail: 0645 to 15:15 Rotating days off monthly.

Will be required to work some holidays and weekends.
