Public Safety Officer

About the role

The City of Plano seeks a Public Safety Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing law enforcement services within the city limits.

Responsibilities

• Investigate criminal activity and respond to emergency calls
• Provide security and safety to citizens and visitors
• Enforce laws and ordinances related to public safety
• Maintain order and conduct patrols as necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Successful completion of a police academy program
• Ability to pass a background check

Qualifications

• At least two years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience
• Completion of a certified police training academy
• Knowledge of traffic control signals and practices
• Ability to operate police vehicles and equipment

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in computer systems and software

Minimum $43,143.65 annually
