- 11:00PM - 7:30AM, rotating weekends and holidays
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Department Specific Job Details
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license (No SR-22)
- Must meet all eligibility requirements for coverage under the hospital’s insurance policy
- Must be able to obtain OPOTA Private Security Academy certification or Basic Peace Officer certification within 12 months of hire
- OPOTA certification preferred at time of hire
- Previous law enforcement, military, corrections, hospital security, or armed security experience preferred
- Experience working in healthcare or behavioral health environments preferred
Skills/Competencies
- Able to lift and move heavy objects as required
- Able to carry a department-issued firearm and successfully qualify with required department standards
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Able to work effectively in high-stress and fast-paced environments
- Able to interact professionally with patients, families, visitors, and staff
