Responsibilities
- Maintains the efficient operation of the uniformed Public Safety Team by scheduling, providing training, and assigning duties.
- Makes sure Public Safety Officers respond to calls and assist guests while keeping the casino clean.
- Supervises slot and table game drops, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Communicates issues needing management attention to the appropriate people.
- Ensures proper communication with both internal and external parties.
- Assists with processing jackpots for the Slot Operations Department.
- Performs personnel actions according to established guidelines.
- Schedules Public Safety Team Members when the Shift Supervisor is absent.
- Observes and reports suspicious activity.
- Handles guest complaints related to public safety.
- Maintains the appearance and performance of Public Safety Team Members.
- Works with other departments to ensure proper coverage and compliance.
- Supervises and guides front-line Public Safety Officers.
- Identifies and communicates issues on the casino floor.
- Relieves Dispatchers for breaks as needed.
- Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, and recommends disciplinary actions.
- Builds a positive work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Security, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of experience in a security-related field, preferably in gaming, hospitality, or service industry.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
- Flexible schedule willingness, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Valid security guard registration with the Bureau of Security & Investigative Services within six months of employment.
- Gaming and Tribal Key Licenses from the Tribal Gaming Agency and State of CA Gambling Control Commission, respectively.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
