Public Safety Assistant

Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.Must be at least 21 years of age.Valid State of Illinois driver’s license.Must meet criteria outlined in the Illinois Public Community College Act (110ILCS 805/3-42.1), “…no person may be appointed hereunder unless the person is at least 21 years of age and possesses a high school diploma or equivalent. No person appointed to or retained in the security department unless that person is of good character and not a habitual drunkard, gambler or a person convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.”Work history of demonstrated “people skills” in dealing with a variety of difficult circumstances. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications Some college credit.Previous experience in law enforcement/corrections/ EMS .
