About the role
Hitachi Vantara is looking for a Public Relations Associate to support the company’s presence in North America. This role focuses on storytelling, generating media coverage, and tracking content to bolster Hitachi Vantara’s reputation as a provider of technology solutions for AI-enabled data storage. The position reports to the Senior Director of Global Communications and sits within the Global Corporate Marketing and Communications organization. This is a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Drive Hitachi Vantara’s PR programs for technology, infrastructure, and partner programs to address business, tech, and vertical media (with a focus on North America).
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with technology and channel partner media.
- Develop thoughtful and engaging content for communications opportunities, including press releases, messaging documents, FAQs, blogs, byline articles, and speaking opportunity abstracts and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and revenue marketing, executive communications, customer advocacy, partner marketing, analyst relations, and social media to proactively engage on communications content and media opportunities.
- Work closely with PR agency partners to develop media strategies and execute program elements.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience supporting public relations programs; in-house and/or public relations agency experience required.
- Experience in global B2B technology, software, or services companies is a plus.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills to draft compelling messaging for press releases, messaging documents, press presentations, bylines, blogs, and FAQs.
- Knowledge of technology and data trends to develop rapid responses to breaking situations requiring messaging or external media activity.
- Demonstrated ability to create high-quality work calmly and with good judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Pay
Expected base salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Expected on-target earnings range from $64,000 to $75,000. The expected pay is determined based on depth of experience and other factors. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable.
