About the role

The Public Relations Analyst will provide analysis, advice, and/or implementation assistance, and provide oversight and input on specific topics of interest to clients based on reports, research, and professional experience. They will plan and coordinate public affairs communication, events, and activities to support the mission, objectives, and goals of the client’s organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis, advice, and/or implementation assistance, and provides oversight and input on specific topics of interest to clients based on reports, research and professional experience.
  • Plans and coordinate public affairs communication, events and activities to support the mission, objectives, and goals of the client’s organization.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key personnel, communications staff, as well as organizational stakeholders across all functional areas to ensure effective communications.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop successful communications strategies.
  • Plans, prepares and disseminates publicity concerning the client’s organization through various media and visual communications media, including the Internet.
  • Responsible for curating related content to reach target audiences; managing published content; and monitoring, listening and responding to users to cultivate an informed public.
  • Coordinates and manages an organization's response to negative events as they occur.
  • Responsible for recommending, executing, and maintaining all communication strategies, plans, and message management processes.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and is familiar with traditional media marketing as well as online/internet marketing.
  • Develops talking points and presentations for senior leaders for speaking engagements, conferences, and media interviews.
  • Crafts clear, concise, and compelling messages that align with the Army’s acquisition mission and strategic goals.
  • Writes, edits, and publishes articles, press releases, and other materials to highlight the office’s initiatives, achievements, and priorities.
  • Supports the development of materials such as fact sheets, FAQs, and briefing documents to explain acquisition programs and initiatives.
  • Buils and maintains relationships with media representatives to ensure accurate and positive coverage of the office’s activities.
  • Crafts clear, concise, and compelling messages that align with the Army’s acquisition mission and strategic goals.
  • Supports the development of materials such as fact sheets, FAQs, and briefing documents to explain acquisition programs and initiatives.
  • Buils and maintains relationships with media representatives to ensure accurate and positive coverage of the office’s activities.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong background in writing, editing, and publishing articles, press releases, and other communication materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain highly technical information to non-technical audiences, including media and the public.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and developing engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with working alongside industry partners and supporting DoD offices.
  • Experience supporting large conferences or symposiums, such as AUSA, is highly desirable.
  • Experience staffing communication products to ensure they are publicly releasable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the federal acquisition process, including FAR and DFARS regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Public Relations; Mass Communication; Journalism or related field of study preferred.
  • At least twelve (12) years of directly related experience, required. A master’s degree may substitute two (2) years of experience.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with traditional media marketing as well as online/internet marketing.

  • Familiarity with working alongside industry partners and supporting DoD offices.

Pay

$100,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
