Responsibilities

Requirements
- Availability to complete all phases of the Special Agent applicant process
- Completion of the Physical Task Assessment (PTA)
- Completion of the Writing Assessment at a proctored testing center
- Review of resume and supporting documents to determine eligibility
- Completion of a Structured interview
- Completion of Basic Agent Training if necessary
- Eligibility for Special Agent Transition Program if applicable

Location Availability

Spanish Language Skill
- Strongly encouraged to apply due to the mission's need for Spanish language skills
- May be assessed during the hiring process
Basic Agent Training
- Required for applicants who have not completed previous federal law enforcement training through another federal law enforcement agency
- Includes a 16-week residential training program
Special Agent Transition Program
- Available for current or former 1811 applicants who have successfully completed a Federal Criminal Investigation training program through another federal law enforcement agency
- Includes a 3-week Special Agent Transition Program
